Velo Valero Rider of the Week, 08/30/2007 - Keary Lambrecht
Keary is the Sr. V.P. of Lending for Valero Federal Credit Union (VFCU). He's a native San Antonian who has resided in Converse for the last 31 years. He's a graduate of Judson High School and Texas State University. He has one Eagle Scout son, Travis, who now works for Gunn Dodge. His interests include anything outdoors - fishing, hunting, golf, camping, hiking, and more fishing.
Keary started riding last October at the coaxing of Zora "You can do it" Bilicich and Sylvia Rodriguez. He says, "I have wanted to do the MS 150 since seeing last year's MS 150 Toyota/Valero truck parked outside my office window each day and the overall enthusiasm of the Velo Valero Team leading up to the event. And, it's for a good cause."
Keary has been working hard to get ready for the MS 150. "I work out about 5 times a week, of which 2 to 3 are spinning classes - been spinning going on 3 years. Right now I am trying to work out everyday, which includes at least one weekend ride."
Keary is happy to be a member of our team. "I think the Velo Valero Team concept is great. I have thoroughly enjoyed the comraderie in doing the team rides and look forward to the challenge of the MS 150."

Keary and Andrea at the 2006 Mission to Mission Ride. According to Keary, "I forgot about that picture - that was my first ride. It sure was cold that day and I was wondering what I was doing there."
