2008 Spring Retreat - Crabapple Road and Edge Falls

Rain Soaked Ride on Crabapple Road and Edge Falls, Debut of the Action Cam

This 10 minute video is from the 50 mile ride John, Chuck, Ray, and I did during the weekend of the 2008 Board Retreat.   It is the first time I had a chance to use the Oregon Scientific Action Cam I got as a present last Christmas.  The route is the amazing hills ourside of Blanco and Kendalia along Crabapple Road and Edge Falls

Velo Valero videos are low resolution (320x240) and in Windows Media Format.  Be courteous if you are in a shared office environment - either turn the volume down so that you don't disturb you co-workers, or listen using headphones.  If you have technical problems accessing these videos, send an e-mail to cycling@valero.com

Is that Kraftwerk on your soundtrack?

I used three songs on the video.  This was mainly to provide some sort of pleasant sound, because during the ride the camera mostly recorded lots of harsh wind noise, particularly at the higher speeds.

    • "Popcorn" by Hot Butter (1972)
    • "Can't Get You Out of My Head" by Kylie Minogue (2002)
    • "I've Been Working" by Van Morrison (1970)
