This is <your name> from the Velo Valero cycling team. How are you doing? I hope I'm not interrupting you this evening.
We were checking our roster this year, and found that you haven't registered with us yet to ride in the 2007 MS 150 Bike to the Beach. You rode with us last year, and we'd love to have you back again. Are you planning on riding this year?
If you haven't registered yet, there's a great opportunity to do so Wednesday night at Pappasito's Cantina on I-10 in San Antonio. The event will be from 05:00 to 08:00 pm, and allows you to register for only $25 - the normal registration fee is $40. When you get there, just look for someone in a Velo Valero jersey - we'll have a bunch of the Board Members there to answer any questions you may have and to help you register with our team again.
If you can't make it to this event, you can still take advantage of the $25 offer if you fill out a registration form and fax it to Lisa Shaw at 210-496-5414 by end of day Wednesday. The registration form is available on the MS 150 Web Site at http://biketothebeach.ms150.org/btb/forms/07_reg_form.pdf NOTE: You can't get the discount if you register on-line.

NOTES:
- If they are not riding with us, ask them why. If they had a negative experience with the team and the event, we need to know why so we can fix it in the future.
- If they have quit cycling, tell them there are lots of Volunteer opportunities available, and they can fund raise without riding on behalf of our team (Tony calls this a "phantom rider", even though I don't like the phrase...)
- Call the home phone first, then the work. If no answer, leave a message. If you don't talk to them, send them an e-mail with the following text.
The Valero MS 150 Bike to the Beach will be held on October 20-21 - only 2 months away! You are receiving this e-mail because our records show that you rode with Velo Valero last year, but haven't yet registered for this year's event. If you are planning on riding again, we'd love to have you back with Velo Valero. We have some new things planned for 2007 that will hopefully make this your best MS 150 ever.
