&lt;p&gt;I rode an impromptu century this weekend with one other rider but without the correct nutrition we suffered towards the end, with only 10 miles to go. I made it, but a head wind on that last stretch took its toll. Cliff Bars and a smoothie just won't do it, I don't care what shape you're in.&lt;/p&gt;
