National MS Conference
...Well, I write this from the 10th floor of the Hyatt hotel on Reunion Boulevard in downtown Dallas. I'm here with Andrea, PJ, and Lucy attending the National MS Conference, along with lots of folks from the San Antonio MS Society office that we worked closely with for the last 6 months on the Valero MS 150. Just like last year, I'm learning a lot about the message and the mission of the MS Society, meeting a lot of great people, and coming up with lots of new ideas for the team in 2008. It's so humbling to see so many people with the disease, and to realize that, yes, all of us who rode the 150 last week faced an incredible physical challenge for two days, but the people with MS face challenges every day of their lives. This is why we ride.

At the Corporate Partners and Stars luncheon. Valero is doing as much or more as any of the big corporate partners of the MS Society - I'm so proud of what we're accomplishing! For more pictures from the conference, click here.
Fundraising
I said it on Sunday so well, I'm going to say it again -
Oh, by the way, there's still a little fundraising work to do between now and the Awards Banquet on December 5th. If you rode with us this weekend, and you haven't raised your minimum yet, what are you waiting for?? If you have money you've collected and haven't turned it in yet, there's no time like the present.
I haven't had a chance to update the team roster this week, but to check your individual totals, click here.
Texas Tour de Cure
It's not too early to start thinking about rides for next year. Our traditional team event for the spring is the Texas Tour De Cure for ADA, which is a two day cycling event from San Antonio to Austin, with an overnight at the dorms at Texas State University. This year it will be held on on May 17-18. To register, click here.
...Tomorrow I'm going to Austin to see the Horns play Nebreska, plus do a little tailgating in downtown Austin. Carl has a ride scheduled, and the Tour de Gruene is next week - check our schedule for details!
See ya' on the road!
